I posted a hands on lab that walks the user through the creation of a pong
game using XNA at my blog at
http://blogs.msdn.com/alfredth/archive/2009/03/17/pong-a-simple-hands-on-lab-for-xna-game-studio.aspx
It's based on a video demo by Sam Stokes which you can find at

Well there is a link to it from the faculty connection site at
http://www.microsoft.com/education/facultyconnection/bz/default.aspx?c1=en-bz&c2=BZ
but it is sort of quiet here. I try to make sure things show up to both share
information and make sure people know someone it around.
